Meet John Doe
Meet John Doe (1941)

IMDB rating: 7.70

Plot: As a parting shot, fired reporter Ann Mitchell prints a fake letter from unemployed “John Doe,” who threatens suicide in protest of social ills. The paper is forced to rehire Ann and hires John Willoughby to impersonate “Doe.” Ann and her bosses cynically milk the story for all it’s worth, until the made-up “John Doe” philosophy starts a whole political movement. At last everyone, even Ann, takes her creation seriously…but publisher D.B. Norton has a secret plan.

How is this ending for a book?
Ok, I’m writing a short story about this woman who was in a car accident and the man that was in the conflicting car died after they got to know each other (don’t worry, it’s not as corny as it sounds). Anyway, this woman was snubby and selfish until she met this John Doe figure and he taught her about the important things in life and he impacted her life in a good way. The beginning is going to be something like:
As Charles Dickens writes "Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show." From this I conclude I shall be my own hero. Nobody else has an influence on your life unless you allow them too and from personal experience, you should not leave your own life in the hands of someone else.

I’m thinking of ending it something like this:
As I look back on my life I remember the great Charles Dickens saying, "Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show." I now know that the hero of my life was that man in the hospital. The man that showed me what life is really about. It is not about how big your house is, or how much money you have. It is about the people who allow you to be you and those who are there for you, even after they visit the pearly gates of heaven. John Doe has influenced my life and now I wish to influence someone else’s because that is what life is really about.
I still need to edit and stuff so it’s not my final draft, just want your opinion and constructive criticism.
Oh, and also, PLEASE DO NOT COPY THIS! I worked really hard on it and if you copy this I will hunt you down!! lol, :P .

It sounds really good. You might want a slightly different ending sentence. What is the book going to be called? (maybe split that sentence into two)

What kind of schedule is your 1yr old on?
My son is almost 13months old. He wakes up around 7am and has breakfast with a sippy cup of whole milk. Then he watches Sesame Street (he loves it!) and plays with his toys in the living room floor. He has cheerios or fruit for a snack between breakfast and lunch.Morning naptime. Then lunchtime at 12. Another snack. More playing. Sometimes afternoon nap. We go for a late afternoon walk and then dinner at 5:30. Bath at 6 every other night and bedtime for him at 7pm. Does this sound good?

Just make sure when he plays that theirs a chance he can be learning something, play with him and show him different interesting ways his toys can me played with and always have a music time to dance, that’s fun for you both!
