I actually love this name so much and once posted a question on here about it. However, the feedback is always the same- the negative connotations associated with it are pretty strong.

For example, there’s Lolita in Nabokov’s novel, "Lolita," and also the Long Island Lolita, etc. etc. Basically, people associate it with a "loose" woman.

I would be perfectly okay to forget the negativity because I think the name is beautiful. Unfortunately, though, I’m not sure others will, and I wouldn’t want to put my child through that. So, I’ve settled for keeping it as a guilty pleasure.

It’s up to you whether or not you use it- it may be better suited for a middle name, unfortunately. Just be aware of the negative associations it has. Such a shame!

I think that it sounds very exotic. I do think that it is a very pretty and unique name, but I wouldn’t personally use it. I do like both nicknames Lola and Lita though. I don’t see anything wrong with the name, it just isn’t my type of name. I would rate it a 7/10 and would have to give this name alot of thought because it is a definite "outside the box" type of name, but that actually makes it cool.

I have a problem…please help?

Where can I listen to good music in Atlanta?

Could you give me a list of easy-hard guitar solos I could practice?

Finding a location in Berlin?
Hi

Is anybody Local to Berlin; or knows Berlin very well? I am travelling there in a few weeks and need to track a location down.

Ive seen the film "The Baader Meinhof Complex" and would like to see Ulrike Mienhof’s gravestone.
Ive been on Google Maps and tracked the location to:

Heilig-Kreuz-Kirchhof, Mariendorf,
Cemetery, which I believe is North of Tegel Airport.
Ive found U-Bhan stations around the area although they look a distance away. Does anybody know if the cemetery is in realistic walking distance; and how long it would take to walk from the nearest U-Bhan Station?

Also is the cemetery large; is her grave easy to locate. Ive tracked down its in "Zone A"? Does anybody know where that is in the cemetery?

Any help would be much appreciated

In reality Ulrike Meinhof is burried in the city of Stuttgart not in Berlin so you won’t find her gravestone there.
The burial was very controvers at the time the major of Stuttgart defended the right of the terrorists to get a burial place and said that with the dead even terrorists aren’t to be considered as public ennemies anymore

Elbow Luxation in Puppy?
My 13 week old APBT puppy jumped off my bed (maybe 2ft from the top of the bed to the floor), slipped on a sock on the floor, and just went sprawling on the tile floor. He started screaming, and holding his front right leg off the ground and outwards slightly. When I jumped up to get him (was in the adjacent sitting area), he tried to come to me and fell forward when he tried to put the leg down. My boyfriend just rushed him to the emergency vet, but I am such a worried "puppy mom" that I jumped online to see what it may be, and I figured I’d see if there are any professional Veterinarians on here to answer what it may be. The emergency vet near me is a "surgery first" type of place, so I wanted to know what could be done (if it is Elbow Luxation, which has similar symptoms of sudden lameness and pain at the elbow joint after trauma) before surgery? Is there some sort of splint that can be applied to immobilize the joint for it to heal? I want to avoid surgery as much as possible, as he is such a young pup.

It sounds like he either dislocated his elbow, or he broke it. Either way, the vet’s first plan of action is going to get everything reset and then put it in a cast. You’ll have to keep the puppy from chewing on it, and the cast will probably have to be replaced every few weeks. He’ll also come home with pain medication, but beware- there are two common reactions to pain medication and any pet of any temperment can have them. The first one is that they will be very calm and sleepy, and generally not be active. The second reaction is that they will be afraid, and will hide. If you try to stop them from hiding, they will be disoriented and could attack you. My cat is like this, and she is the sweetest when shes healthy but she was vicious when she was on pain meds for a pulled muscle.

Elbow luxation — no — this is a real injury and needs emergency care. You do have the right to tell the emergency vet what he can or cannot do. I do this all the time. Ask questions — "what are the alternatives", "are there less invasive treatments we can try first", "why are you doing an x-ray to diagnois a soft tissue injury?" (my favorite) Ask question, ask for different options and pick what works for you. If he gives you attitude, go elsewhere
