Do I have some sort of mental disorder?
Hey guys,

So for the longest time whenever I read articles or books, I have troubles processing what I just read. I have to constantly go back and re read it maybe 4 times. Even then I don’t understand what I just read sometimes.

But this isn’t the only issue. I’m 16 and driving. Whenever I see a green light, my eyes visibly see it as green…but my mind tells me its not green. I have to constantly stare at the light until I pass through it because I can’t accept the fact that it is a green light. Like, my eyes say its green, but my mind says its red or I’m seeing it incorrectly.

Same thing applies when I’m chatting with friends on instant messenger. I am typing in one friends chat box, but I think it’s someone elses. I constantly have to look at it to see that its the friend I’m talking to chat box, But even then I can’t process the though that its the chat box of the friend I’m talking to.

Could this be a bit of OCD? Because sometimes when I am given a task of cleaning the dishes or cleaning my room, I just can’t do it. I don’t know where to start or which dish to pick up. And I have to an even amount of something. Like when I eat an oreo from a box. I have to take one from each row to make sure they match up evenly with eachother.

What are you’re guy’s diagnosis of this? I told my mom about it but she didn’t care at all because she doesn’t like to take me to the doctors or anything like that so she just shrugs it off.

Any suggestions would be nice. Please tell me the name of what you think could be the problem and a explanation as to why so I can see if it applies to me. Thank you :)

sounds to me like you have an optical processing disorder not a mental one the synapses in your brain are getting the wrong messages from you optic nerves i would first check with your doctor then get extensive testing done with an optometrist because this disorder can either be optical or neurological hope this helps but yeah it also sounds like you have a minor bit of ocd most ppl do but i dont think its causing this

You don’t say how long this has been going on, I’m assuming it is recent.
Do you take any medications for anything?
Call a Walgreen’s and ask the pharmacist about whatever drugs you are taking, ask about the possible side effects.
Have you had any vaccinations lately?
Did you get a flu shot this season?
Did you see the video about the cheerleader who got a flu shot and could only walk backwards?
You are only 16, if it is a side effect of the vaccine, chelation therapy will reverse the effects, it worked for the cheerleader in just a few days of therapy.

I had severe confusion and found the remedies at this site were a wonderful help to get me back on tract. Good luck with Alternative Health Care, say no to drugs get well.

How do you know when you're suffering with depression?
I’m the only member of my family who hasn’t been on anti-depressants. My mum thinks I should go be on them, but I feel fine. Here’s the situation…I have a complicated illness with many different symptoms – it’s treatable but not curable and being one of the oldest survivors the doctors can’t tell me what my future will be. My way of dealing with it is trusting God and living life for now.

I did try to commit suicide early November. This was stupid and although at the time I did want to die, (not doing it for attention) God brought me to my senses and I rang for an ambulance myself. I I’ve sorted out in my mind the thing that made feel there was no way out. I know will never try it again as the thing that stopped me, was the uncertainty of whether I’d get into Heaven when you’re last act on earth was to take my life – a sin.

Since November I’ve got a great boyfriend, a part time job and have managed to get off (for the moment) a prescription painkiller I’ve been addicted to for a couple of years. I haven’t had any counseling which I did agree to when I left the hospital, but only because the hospital hasn’t contacted me about it.

I get bored easily and like to sleep through the times in the day, when I haven’t got anything on. I’ve got friends, hobbies and although I wouldn’t necessarily can’t say that I love life (- as I said I’m ill and don’t get on my with my family,) but I certainly like it.

How do you know if you’re depressed?

Problem is you don’t, you have some of the symptoms (sleeping in the day) but you also have a life – problem is friends and family are unlikely to see clearly on this subject as well – If you want good advice see your gp, they don’t care if you’re depressed or not they will merely assess your symptons in an unemotional way, hth and tc, sarah

Depression is actually one of the leading causes of disability in America. It can affect any person at any time of the year. To avoid this common mental disorder, it is really important to know what really causes depression. Unfortunately, the causes of depression are not fully known yet, however, there are risk factors that are said to contribute to the development of depression, such as gender, marital factors, age, previous episode, and heredity.

Symptoms of Depression:

Depression can manifest itself in many forms. The most basic symptom of depression is prolonged sadness. Depression sufferers will often remove themselves from social situations altogether. They will appear listless and apathetic, and they will let depression rule their every behavior. Depression sufferers also often feel as though they don

What make Othello a tragic hero?
the tragic hero traits

that he is manipulated, by a friend, in to murdering a woman he truly loves.

I see Desdemona more as the tragic hero. She died innocent and was killed by her jealous husband (even though he was manipulated by Iago), the one that she trusted and loved the most.

Wonderful World
Wonderful World (2009)

IMDB rating: 6.80

Plot: In this sometimes moving dark comedy, Broderick plays Ben-a failed children’s folk singer and less-than-extraordinary weekend dad. Deeply cynical, Ben’s sole pleasure in life is derived from chess games with his Senegalese roommate Ibou. When Ibou is suddenly struck ill and an insensitive municipal employee exacerbates the emergency situation, Ben’s pessimistic worldview seems unequivocally confirmed. But when Ibou’s sister Khadi takes his place in their apartment, what starts as an awkward living arrangement becomes something more, and Ben finds that cynicism may be all a matter of perspective.

Actors: Broderick Matthew,Williams Michael K.,Hall Philip Baker,Ferguson Jesse Tyler,Carney Patrick,Foppe Zacharias,Taylor Paul T.,Burton James,Hambrick John,Drama,Romance,

Do you think this is fair at all?
If this seems long, I would like to apologize beforehand. However this situation has really been eating at me for a couple of days, and I don’t know what else to do.

My husband and I moved to PA almost a year ago for many different reasons, but the main one was that we got evicted from our last home, and had a MAJOR falling out with his parents (a completely different story). I’m from PA, and for a short time my mother (bless her heart) took us in for a short time until we could get jobs, and on our feet. We also have two daughters that mean ‘the world’ tomy in-laws, and the transition was beyond difficult for everybody.

My daughters communicate with them almost on a daily basis via online chat with webcam, or over he phone which I have absolutely no problem with that. About a week ago, my eldest Melody came to me just gushing with excitement because my in-laws are wanting to take an almost 12 hour drive from IA to come pick her up, and let her spend about a month with them over the summer. Melody politely asked me if that was ok, and I told her I would talk to her father about it.

He thought it was a great idea, but then he asked if they would be taking Peyton, my youngest daughter, as well. I never gave that a thought but he agreed that having Melody going was fine just as long as they would like to take Peyton also. So two nights ago, I talk to my MIL and started making arrangments and asking her when they would be coming. And when I asked the question if they were going to take Peyton along, there was a long pause….She had the NERVE to say, "Well we don’t have enough room in this house for her to stay for a month, plus she has a ‘history’ of causing problems". Thank God the girls were nearby because I was just about to go completely ballistic on this woman. I don’t get into confrontations with my girls around for the most obvious reasons, but I can say that comment hurt so bad it felt like I was slapped in the face.

Peyton was diagnosed with autism, ODD (oppressive-defiant disorder), and ADHD. Before she was diagnosed, she was completely out of control. She completely destructive with everything. We would get her a new toy and it would be broken the next day. She wouldn’t do simple commands, she would pick fights with her cousins, and other things it was just really bad. My husband and I went to see a therapist to see if it would help, but it didn’t. The last resort was to put her on medication…which seemed to work for awhile. But then all of a sudden the medication seemed to quit working for her, and she was worse than before. This was about the time when we got evicted from our home, and had that falling-out. The attempts to help Peyton even more seemed to be fruitless because I don’t think the specialist was doing a really good job.

The move was hard on everybody, but it hit Peyton the hardest. Any major change or transition in the past was very difficult for her to deal with…this has to do with the autism and other disorders. Shortly after our family settled in, we sought out and found a really AWESOME specialist to help Peyton. Ever since she began seeing this specialist, I’d like to think that Peyton is a completely different little girl. She was put on Adderal that seems to be working very well with her. Her destructive behavior seems almost non-existant anymore, she really likes to take care of her things, she shows wonderful affection towards my husband, myself, and her sister, and she’s at the top of her Kindergarten class. Plus Peyton LOVES her specialist. Everything that was going on with her before seems to have all but gone away. Granted she has her days and moods as well as many of us do, but she’s just a completely different and absolutely wonderful, very intelligent little girl. As long as she continues taking her medication and she gets that therapy, she’s beginning to just blossom into a wonderful person. I know it seems like I’m bragging, but it’s the proud parent in me I guess.

Now here’s where it gets destructive. There were times when I’ve noticed how different my daughters are treated when they talk to their grandparents. Our computer is in the living room, but I try to provide privacy for their conversation. In particular I notice that when Melody is talking live with the webcam, how my MIL reactions are. When Melody has some good news to share, my MIL seems to gush with excitement. Peyton likes to join in with her sister, and sometimes she wants to say something. How my MIL reacts with her, it seems like she’s saying, "Yeah sure, whatever", or she seems indifferent. That observation has been eating at me for quite some time as well.

So here’s my dilemma. I don’t believe it’s the least bit fair that they would like to spend time with Melody, but want to practically have nothing to do with Peyton. They don’t actually know her from who she was from before. If my MIL would at least take the time to actually have a conversation with Peyton then maybe thin

Go with your instinct you are the mother after all. ;)
soccerstar | Feb 05, 2010

Your MIL needs to learn that there are consequences to her actions and treating Peyton with less than contempt is NOT on. You have taught the girls equal love and attention and you are sticking by that love and attention equally for both of your girls and yes it would be destructive for just Melody to go spend time with her Grand parents and would cause confusion for peyton, I’m with you on this one , you are their Mother, their role model in life and trust me how they are treated now effects how they are when they are young women. You are right in putting your children’s emotions and minds and lives first before other family……..obviously the specialist showed Peyton consistent care and attention and that’s probably why she thrived with the treatment, so it needs to be consistent in her home life for her to be a balanced young adult down the track to eventually pass this behavior onto who ever she meets and begins to love. Be Proud of not allowing Grandparents to demand impossibilities and show favoritism and believe in all the hard work and love that has helped both your girls!!

WHERE TO BUY DOGS IN ORANGE COUNTY?
At Huntington Beach
At Westminster
At Garden Grove
At Santa Ana
At Fountain Valley!!!

Please suggest me any shop around that have real Dogs and Cats! I dont need food supplies or beds! What I need is a pet! Please suggest me Pet shop addresses or just names names of the shops would also do!!! PLEASE!!! THANKS A TON!!!
Basically if u have a nice dog and live in one of these nice places… where did u get that friend!?!?!

Please do not get your dog from a pet store. ALL dogs in pet stores come from puppy mills which are basically factories that mass produce puppies and keep breeding adults in small cages 24/7. Buying a dog from a pet store means you support these practices.

Consider going to a shelter or, if you want a specific breed you cannot find at a shelter or rescue, go to akc.org and find a Reputable breeder. You may have to wait longer for the pup, but it will be well worth it!

Is it ok for the er doctors to send me back home with a dislocated ankle?
I went to the er with a dislocated ankle, which i heard popped out and you can see the deformity, i didn’t have insurance at the time but the pain was unbearable and my foot swelled up like nutty professor. Well the doctors at the er told me that its not broken i just need to see a bone specialist to have a reduction the following monday, which i went to this er saturday, they put a splint it and gave me pain pills. but as the weekend went by my ankle hurt like hell as i felt the bone rubbing against my legs from the inside, so i went to another er room to see what they say when they took the splint off they said omg who sent you home like this and anybody in they right mind would not have let me go home like that, so once they finished my ex rays, they told me i need a reduction to placed my ankle back into place and also i needed surgery, and they couldn’t do they surgery the same day because i waited too long and swelling was too severe, so i was wondering if the the other er hospital would have just popped my ankle back into place, would i have prevented this surgery? And was they supposed to sent me back home without popping my ankle back into place? If not do i need a lawyer?

If indeed your ankle was dislocated on first attendance to the ER, it should not have been left. In fact recognizing a dislocated ankle should be immediate upon examining the ankle and can be made without taking X-rays.
If dislocated, it should have been reduced immediately in the ER, as the blood supply to the foot and bones can be compromised. Moreover the swelling is guaranteed to worsen the longer left!
Regarding preventing surgery it is difficult without looking at x-rays and your notes to determine whether it could have been avoided

Roger N | Feb 12, 2035

It’s impossible to know. The first ER doctor could have been completely correct, and you may have aggravated the problem by walking on it afterwards. You said it was incredibly swollen in the first place, so I don’t think the surgery would have been possible at that point either.

Stop worrying about a lawyer, and start getting yourself medical insurance.

Plot: On the day that Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans, elderly Daisy Williams nee Fuller is on her deathbed in a New Orleans hospital. At her side is her adult daughter, Caroline. Daisy asks Caroline to read to her aloud the diary of Daisy’s lifelong friend, Benjamin Button. Benjamin’s diary recounts his entire extraordinary life, the primary unusual aspect of which was his aging backwards, being born an old man who was diagnosed with several aged diseases at birth and thus given little chance of survival, but who does survive and gets younger with time. Abandoned by his biological father, Thomas Button, after Benjamin’s biological mother died in childbirth, Benjamin was raised by Queenie, a black woman and caregiver at a seniors home. Daisy’s grandmother was a resident at that home, which is where she first met Benjamin. Although separated through the years, Daisy and Benjamin remain in contact throughout their lives, reconnecting in their forties when in age they finally match up. Some of the revelations in Benjamin’s diary are difficult for Caroline to read, especially as it relates to the time past this reconnection between Benjamin and Daisy, when Daisy gets older and Benjamin grows younger into his childhood years.

Why is this movie download so slow (iTunes)?
It’s taken several days, and it’s not even 1/4th done. Not even kidding.
I’ve downloaded other movies, and they worked right away.

Any reason it’s so slow?
Btw, it’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Okay. So that doesn’t explain why I bought/downloaded 2 other movies, and they download in less than 15 minutes.

You’ve probably used up your internet monthly quota and to prevent excess charges your ISP cap down your speed to as slow as dial up speeds.

Would a face lift cause a person's face to appear frozen?
This person was wrinkled and a bit saggy around the jaw line the last time I saw her. Yesterday she was wrinkle free but her face didn’t move when she talked to me. Her face looked smooth and stiff, like a mannequin or doll’s face. Only her eyes and voice remained the same.

I’m asking this question because I would like to know the possible cause without bluntly asking my acquaintance what happened to her face.

Botox or other forms of botox would make a person’s face appear to be frozen.

Tell your friend she looks rested and that may be an opening for her to tell you what she had done.

probably not a facelift..my guess would be Botox..Bet she was far more attractive before having it done..

I’ve seen a woman like that, i wondered if it was a botched face lift, or bad plastic surgery, now I guess the culprit could be botox, it’s just sad.

There’s a woman who’s had so many face lifts that some people think she has a cute dimple on her chin. Actually, that’s her belly button!

Yes, a face lift could cause that look, but we had a friend that had a condition called scleroderma that causes the skin to harden and paralyzed look. It is very rare, so there is a possibility that she had a face lift. Look up that condition online and see what you think.

Yes, it will, I knew an elderly–very rich–lady–whose face was always frozen in a one position–smile with teeth showing, she had work done every little bit, and was crazy over my husband. Bless her heart, she is gone now, but she was something else.

A bad on would Miz D. I work with a lady that has a frozen face. Of course she really thinks she’s all that and a bag of chips. How many 60+ women do you know that still try to dress like the flash dance gal? Well this person does.

PS….no one has the nerve to inquire about her face lift but we’d certainly like to bring her wardrobe out of the 80’s.

Botox… possibly a face lift or implants in the face… but I would not ask unless I were very close and dear…In some cases Bellspalsey can do this also..but to only one side…most likely Botox, or maybe Novocaine? the dentist maybe? root canal too much Novocaine? I’m thinking…LOL

If the surgery was recently done, she may still be healing causing this stiff look. If an old surgery, the doctor did not do a good job.

This is what can happen to people who mess around with their face.
